Digital Marketing Pricing Packages: What Each Tier Buys
Digital marketing pricing packages, read line by line: what each tier buys, which lines move the price, and how to compare two quotes fairly.

Why do digital marketing packages always come in three tiers? Because Small, Medium and Invoice did not test well.
Here is the straight version. Digital marketing pricing packages for a small business usually run from about $500 to $5,000 a month, and the tier you pick decides how much the agency does and how much you still do yourself. That range comes from WebFX's 2026 pricing guide, which puts social media management alone at $500 to $5,000 a month. What mostly separates the tiers is whether anybody shows up with a camera.
How much do digital marketing pricing packages cost?
Most packages land inside that WebFX range, and the fee pays for people and their time. It almost never includes your ad spend. That goes to Meta or Google on top.
As for what you should spend, my rule is around 10% of revenue on marketing. That is my number, not a study. And not all of it goes to one agency. You still need money for SEO and ads.
If you want the wider picture of what agencies charge, I broke that down in digital marketing agency pricing. This post is about the package sheet itself, the one they email you after the call.
What is in each tier of a digital marketing package?
Each tier is usually the tier below it plus more posts, more platforms and, at the top, a shoot. Agencies name them differently, but the bones are the same.
The starter tier. Scheduling and captions on photos you already have. A set number of graphics a month, one or two platforms, a monthly report. Nobody films you. If you have no footage, this tier posts your logo a lot.
The middle tier. A content calendar, more posts, a few more platforms. Sometimes they edit clips you shot on your phone. Sometimes they answer comments and DMs. This is the tier the pricing page is built to sell, which is why it wears the "most popular" badge.
The top tier. Somebody comes out and films. There is a shoot day, an editor after it, and usually ad management and a strategy call. This is where the price jumps, and it should, because now there are people on set for a day and hours of editing behind every post.
That jump is real money in the production world. Vidico's 2026 cost guide puts a typical agency video project minimum at $5,000 to $15,000, and that is for one project, not a month. So a monthly shoot inside a package is worth a lot, and worth checking. Ask how long it runs and who is on it.
Which lines on a package actually change the price?
The lines that change the price are the ones that eat a person's time: shoot days, finished videos, platforms managed and replies. Everything else is decoration.
Read the package sheet one line at a time and ask for a number next to each:
- Shoot days a month. Zero is an answer. Write it down.
- Finished posts a week. "Content creation" with no number is not a deliverable.
- Who films and who edits. If the answer is your phone, the answer is you.
- Rounds of revisions. Two rounds is standard. Less is a red flag.
- Platforms. Four platforms at one post each is not more than one platform at four.
- Replies and DMs. Some tiers include them, most do not. Ask.
- Ad management versus ad spend. Managing the ads is a fee. The spend is separate.
- Setup fee and contract length. A twelve-month lock-in is mostly there for their cash flow.
- Who owns the footage. It should be you, in writing.
Reporting is on almost every sheet. A monthly PDF you never open is not a reason to move up a tier. Three or four simple numbers that show what the posts did are plenty.
Here is where I disagree with most agencies
Three tiers is a sales layout, not a plan. The bottom one is there to make the middle one look reasonable, and the top one is there to make the middle one look cheap. Most people buy the middle and never ask whether it fits their business.
I would rather give you one number. We have two starting points, and then we price what you actually need. Our pricing page says one number, not a menu, and I mean it. Hiding the number or burying it in a comparison chart is how agencies waste everyone's time, their own included.
Here is the other thing. If a package does not have a shoot in it, it is a scheduling service with a nicer PDF. That can be fine if you already have good footage. Most owners do not.
In my view, an agency worth paying charges $2,000 to $4,000 a month and gives you one to two solid shoots and 30 to 50 postable assets for it. If you are paying that and getting carousel posts and standard videos, you are in the wrong tier at the wrong shop. You deserve a true production. One or two days a month where somebody plans it properly, films you doing your job, and cuts it into a month of posts.
Price is a signal, too. A very cheap package gets you in the door. It rarely gets you on camera.
How do you compare two digital marketing packages?
Compare two packages by turning both into cost per finished post and shoot days per month, because the tier names will not tell you anything.
Take the monthly fee and divide it by the finished posts you get. Then check how many of those posts are video of you and how many are graphics. Two packages at the same fee, one full of graphics and one full of videos of you, are not the same buy, even if both sheets say "Growth" at the top.
Then check what it costs you in time. A package where you shoot everything on your phone is cheap in dollars and expensive in evenings. If you are already behind on posting, you know how that goes.

What we do about it
We do not sell three tiers. The retainer starts at $1,000 a month for a solo expert and $3,000 a month for multi-brand teams. Both include one shoot day a month, the writing before it, the editing after, captions and posting three times a week. Usually two rounds of revisions. Month to month, no annual lock-in.
Three things move the number: how many shoot days, how many brands or people we are building, and whether we run the accounts and replies for you.
It also comes with RSoperations, our client platform. Your leads board, your booking page, your finished cuts and your content calendar live there. It comes with the retainer. There is no software bill.
The full breakdown is on the pricing page. If you want to see how the video fits a wider marketing plan, that is on our Tampa video marketing page.

FAQ
What is included in a digital marketing package?
It depends on the tier. Lower tiers usually cover scheduling, captions and graphics. Higher tiers add filming, editing, more platforms and ad management. Ad spend is almost always extra.
How much does digital marketing cost for a small business?
Most small businesses see packages from a few hundred dollars to about $5,000 a month. My rule of thumb is around 10% of revenue on marketing overall, split across video, SEO and ads.
Is the middle tier the best value?
Not by default. The middle tier is the one the pricing page is designed to sell. Pick the tier that has the lines you actually need, starting with whether anyone films you.
Want this done for you?
You film once a month. We write it, shoot it, cut it and post it three times a week. Retainers from $1,000 a month, and you can see what it costs before we talk.
