Commercial video production in Sarasota
Updated September 22, 2026
A commercial is a planned, higher-production video made to sell one thing: an idea, a script, a crewed shoot with real lighting and sound, and an edit that looks finished. For a small business the smart buy is one or two of these a year sitting next to steady weekly content, not one expensive ad that runs for six weeks and disappears. Sarasota is about an hour south of us on I-75. We're a Tampa crew and we say so.

What does a commercial video company actually deliver?
A 30 to 90 second spot in the sizes you need: 16:9 for your site and YouTube, vertical for Reels and TikTok, square for the feed. Plus the raw footage, which is yours. Plus, if you want it, the same shoot cut into a month of short posts so the commercial is not the only thing that came out of the day.
What it should not deliver is a file you have nowhere to put. We ask where it's going before we write it.
How much does commercial video production cost?
A commercial videographer costs about $1,200 to $3,000 for a full day of filming according to INDIRAP's 2026 rate guide, with editing usually quoted separately. A three to five person crew runs $2,500 to $8,000 a day and agencies often set project minimums of $5,000 to $15,000 (Vidico, 2026). We quote the whole thing in one number after the planning call, edit and two rounds of revisions included, and a retainer client gets a spot folded into the plan.
Commercial or weekly content: which first?
Weekly content first, almost always. Wyzowl's 2026 survey found 91% of businesses use video as a marketing tool, so one nice commercial no longer sets you apart. Showing up three times a week with a real person does. Then the commercial has an audience to land on. We'll tell you this on the call even though the commercial is the bigger invoice.
How does a commercial work in Sarasota?
Sarasota is about an hour south of us on I-75. We're a Tampa crew and we say so. Sarasota adds a travel line we put on the quote before you commit. It has never been the thing that decided a project. Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and Venice, on the same terms.
Who we film in Sarasota: gyms and coaching brands, brokers and realtors on the keys and in Lakewood Ranch, venues, boat businesses and founders. The owner is the brand in every one of those, so the camera points at the owner and the business rides behind. The planning, editing, captions and posting run from Tampa either way, and you approve cuts from your phone in RSoperations.
Here's where I disagree with most Sarasota commercial producers
They make it look like TV. Stock music, a voice that isn't yours, a logo animation at the end. People skip TV. They stop for a person. The best small-business commercial we've made looks like the owner's best post with better light and an offer at the end.

What it costs
Commercials are quoted per spot after the planning call: shoot day, crew, licensed music, the edit, two rounds of revisions and the cuts for every screen, in one number. Retainer clients get a spot folded into the monthly plan rather than a separate bill. Retainers start at $1,000 a month. Sarasota adds a travel line we put on the quote before you commit. It has never been the thing that decided a project.
The full breakdown is on the pricing page. Book a call and we give you one number, not a menu.
Questions people ask first
- How long should a commercial be?
- Fifteen to thirty seconds for ads to people who don't know you. Sixty to ninety for your homepage and the prospect who asked what you do. We cut both from one shoot.
- Do we need actors?
- No. You, your team and your customers. Actors sell someone else's business. We write the questions, not your lines.
- Can you run it on TV?
- We deliver broadcast-ready files if you want to buy airtime. We'll also show you what the same money buys in a month of posts, because for most small businesses that's the better spend.
- Is there a travel charge for Sarasota?
- Sarasota adds a travel line we put on the quote before you commit. It has never been the thing that decided a project. Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and Venice, on the same terms.
- How fast can you start in Sarasota?
- A planning call this week, then the first shoot usually inside two weeks. We plan the shoot day tighter than usual, because we're not coming back on Thursday for the thing we missed.
