How long should a short-form video be?
Thirty to sixty seconds if you want reach. Socialinsider's 2026 study of 140,000 business Reels found that range gets the highest reach, 5.60% on average, and anything past two minutes falls to 3.50%. The other number matters more: Influencer Marketing Hub, citing Metricool, puts average Reel watch time around 8.5 seconds. Make the point in the first sentence.
How many short videos does one shoot day make?
Twelve to twenty from one morning, if the morning is planned. The talking segments become the main clips. The footage of you working goes under them and stands on its own as short posts. One rant about pricing becomes the hook of one video and the whole body of another. We plan for volume before we press record.
What does the format look like?
One recognizable look. Your face, captions in a type treatment that stays the same every post, a first line that says the point, one cut, done. No trending dance. No text-over-stock-footage. The reason you recognize a good account in half a second is that it looks like itself every time.
How does weekly short-form content work in Lakeland?
Lakeland is forty minutes up I-4 from us, an easy morning. Lakeland adds a small travel line, stated on the quote. Lakeland, Winter Haven, Bartow and Plant City, on the same terms. Plant City usually has no travel line at all.
Who we film in Lakeland: owner-run businesses downtown, gyms and coaches, brokers working the lakes and the new builds, and the event venues. The owner is the brand in every one of those, so the camera points at the owner and the business rides behind. The planning, editing, captions and posting run from Tampa either way, and you approve cuts from your phone in RSoperations.
Here's where I disagree with most Lakeland short-form advice
It's all hooks and trends. The accounts that actually grow a business post a real person saying something useful, three times a week, for a year. Straight information beats clever. Consistency beats both.

What it costs
A monthly retainer starts at $1,000 a month for a solo expert or owner and $3,000 a month for a business building more than one person or brand. Both include the planning, a shoot day, the editing, the posting and RSoperations. Month to month, two rounds of revisions on every cut. Lakeland adds a small travel line, stated on the quote.

Questions people ask first
- Do the videos go on TikTok too?
- Once a cut exists, posting it to TikTok, Shorts and Facebook costs nothing, so yes. Instagram gets the attention first for most of our clients because that's where their leads come from.
- Can you use trending music?
- Only added inside the app when it's posted, so it stays licensed. Music baked into the file gets muted or blocked by the platform.
- Who writes the captions?
- We do, in your voice, with your own link in every one so leads are tracked to the post.
- Is there a travel charge for Lakeland?
- Lakeland adds a small travel line, stated on the quote. Lakeland, Winter Haven, Bartow and Plant City, on the same terms. Plant City usually has no travel line at all.
- How fast can you start in Lakeland?
- A planning call this week, then the first shoot usually inside two weeks. We plan the shoot day tighter than usual, because we're not coming back on Thursday for the thing we missed.
